Sound as a way to enter possible futures

Music is not separate from my futures practice. It is one of the ways I make change, uncertainty and alternative futures emotionally tangible.

I am Auri Annina Antinranta, a composer, vocalist, music producer, futures artist and performer. My work moves between progressive rock, cinematic soundscapes, experimental voice, sound art and audiovisual performance. I create concerts, commissioned compositions and event experiences in which music becomes more than entertainment: it creates space for reflection, imagination and shared attention.

My performances can stand alone or be combined with moving image, a keynote talk, a facilitated conversation or an exhibition. Formats are adapted to the audience, venue and theme.

Live performances

I perform original music in several formats, from intimate solo appearances to full-band concerts and collaborative audiovisual productions.

Noctomella - A Ghost that plays haunted tunes: A haunting and cinematic solo piano project, evoking deep emotion and introspection. Slow, melancholic, and atmospheric, with subtle tension. Inspired by modern minimalist piano and evocative film music, creating a deeply immersive and reflective listening experience. First single: Aureveil, released in October 31, 2025

Collaborative performances

Cross-disciplinary work with musicians, poets, dancers, researchers and visual artists. Each collaboration is shaped around a shared question or theme.

Ihmisen asento projektissa lavalla ovat runoilija (Oona Loman) ja äänimaisemoitsija (Auri Antinranta). Lomanin vahvaa lausuntaa säestää improvisaatioon pohjautuva piano, sekä erilaiset äänimaisemat ja rytmiset elementit. Vahvat tekstit kuljettavat tunnelmasta toiseen ja niiden kautta voi myötähengittää elämää sen kaikissa muodoissaan. Loman ja Antinranta esiintyvät duona. Ihmisen asento teos soveltuu hyvin erilaisiin taide- ja kulttuuritapahtumiin, pimeneviin iltoihin, klubeille ja intiimeihin tiloihin. Teoksen pituus voidaan räätälöidä tilaisuuden luonteen mukaan 15 minuutista 45 minuuttiin. (Runojen määrä). Teoksen ensi-esitys oli Bar Tÿpossa, Tekstintalossa, kesäkuussa 2024.

Music for events

For conferences, strategy days and public events, I create focused musical moments that support the purpose of the programme. A performance can open a theme, create a pause between demanding sessions or close the day with a memorable shared experience.

Sound design and commissions

I compose and produce original music and sound for moving image, installations, performances, research communication and immersive environments. Commissions can begin with an existing theme, story, dataset, place or future scenario.

A commission may result in a standalone composition, a soundtrack, an audiovisual work, a live performance or a participatory sound-based experience.

Experience + talk

Music can be paired with a talk or workshop when an event needs both emotional resonance and a clear conceptual frame. The artistic experience gives the audience something to sense; the talk or facilitated conversation helps them name, interpret and apply what they experienced.

When contacting me, please include the event or venue, preferred date, location, audience size, available technical setup and the role you would like the music to play in the programme. I am available for concerts, cultural events, conferences, exhibitions, commissioned work and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
